Content Editor is a part-time or full-time position responsible for proofreading and editing all written content assignments. They provide training opportunities and constructive feedback to copywriters to ensure growth within our team and high quality content on every project.


  • 5+ years of experience as a copywriter and/or editor
  • Ability to lead and educate other team members
  • Extremely strong writing and editing skills
  • Self-motivation to complete tasks independently
  • Commitment to growth and professional development
  • Comfortable working with a fully Remote Team
  • Business or writing degree or equivalent experience


  • Actively bring new ideas and improvement ideas to Content Director to grow and improve the team and our processes
  • Ensure content meets company or client needs, and follows our in-house guidelines
  • Adhere to Momentum SOPs and ensure others are following them to meet and exceed project expectations
  • Assist in the creation, development, and management of Momentum and its clients
  • Maintain a consistent look and feel (brand personality) throughout all assets
  • Develop and expand understanding of brand structure and optimization techniques
  • Be available during business hours (9AM – 5PM ET) for communication, meetings, and questions
  • Stay current with social media and SEO trends and tools
  • Consistently communicate progress on tasks through Teamwork project management system
  • Finalize engaging content optimized for the platform used and the intended audience
  • Optimize content using SEO and engagement guidelines
  • Provide constructive feedback to copywriters to grow their skill
  • Work directly with Content Director to address training needs and/or ongoing quality issues
  • Complete all projects as instructed by Content Director


  • Restructuring and editing content assignments
  • Proofread and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Verify/fact-check all information for accuracy and clarity
  • Verifying projects match the outlined voice, personality and strategy in the brand guide
  • Assist/lead copywriting training sessions
  • High-level/quick delivery projects when necessary
  • Create training documents and SOPs for copywriting


  • $20-$25/hr (based on experience)
